At Herrán y Díez S.A., a company founded in Castro Urdiales (Spain) in 1893, we have a great deal of experience in the field of machine-polishing of a variety of surfaces. Our products cover a wide range of different applications in both solid and liquid compounds for all types of surface finishes. We are the main manufacturer of polishing compounds in Spain and one of the most important in Europe with a strong presence in various different countries.

One of the other companies in the group, Tierras Industriales Herrán y Diez, S.A., is the only manufacturer in Europe of the mineral Tripoli, an important raw material for all manufacturers of polishing compounds worldwide. This means that we know the market we are working in very well.

During our long history we have worked in all the different fields and applications of polishing compounds, specializing in aluminium, bronze, brass, zamac, silver and gold (non-ferric metals), iron and stainless steel.

In recent decades we have specialized in the polishing of cutlery and housewares with companies such as Cruz de Malta, Dalia, Industrias Jay, Magefesa, Roca, Buades and lamp-makers.
